Ladder Deck Protector — LadderNest™
The first contractor-grade steel device that protects your deck surface and stabilizes your ladder feet — at the same time.
LadderNest — The Only Ladder Deck Protector Built for Deck Surfaces
LadderNest is the first contractor-grade ladder deck protector built to lock ladder feet between deck boards. It prevents sliding, eliminates deck surface damage, and works on composite, PVC, and wood decks. No tools. No setup. Five seconds from truck to climbing.
Why You Need a Ladder Deck Protector
Composite decking — Trex, TimberTech, Azek, Fiberon — is everywhere in residential construction. It’s slicker than wood and can’t be sanded or stained to match once damaged. Standard rubber ladder feet shift with every climb, scratching and gouging the cap layer. One damaged board costs $200–500 to replace. LadderNest eliminates that risk entirely by keeping the feet off the deck surface at all times.
How the Ladder Deck Protector Works
LadderNest drops between the deck boards at the base of the ladder. The feet drop into a three-sided steel retention channel — they can’t move forward, backward, left, or right. The steel platform sits between the boards so the feet never contact the deck surface. 16-gauge AISI 1018 mild steel. Safety Yellow powder coat. Patent pending. Sold in pairs. SKU: LN-1001.
Compatible Deck Types
This ladder deck protector works on Trex, TimberTech, Azek, Fiberon, Deckorators, and pressure treated wood decks. Fits deck boards 1″ to 1½” thick with a minimum ¼” gap between boards. Type 1A rated for ladders up to 300 lbs. Always use both units as a pair. Not for use on stairs or angled surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will LadderNest work on my composite deck?
Yes. LadderNest is designed specifically for composite, PVC, and wood deck boards. The steel platform sits between the boards — the ladder feet never contact the deck surface at all, which means zero scratching and zero damage.
What size gap do I need between boards?
LadderNest is designed to fit standard deck board gaps — typically 3/16″ to 1/4″ on composite and wood decks. If your boards are tight with no gap, it won’t fit. If in doubt, check your gap before ordering.
Do I need one unit or two?
Always two — one under each ladder foot. LadderNest is sold as a pair. Using only one unit is unsafe and will not provide proper stabilization.
Can homeowners use LadderNest?
Absolutely. While LadderNest is built to contractor grade, it’s just as useful for homeowners cleaning gutters, painting trim, or hanging lights. Keep a pair at the door and hand them to any contractor who shows up to work your exterior.
